Hi Mr. Hanson I regret to in form you that SGT Delancey is now in Germany he left us almost a month ago, I will say that when the 55th was here they could not stop talking about how much they were going to miss the generosity of WheresGeorge? back home - they really appreciated that you would go out of your way to send them stuff. I would have to agree with them one hundred percent. Before I deployed I knew that there were support groups out there, but I never knew how well they supported us. I thought maybe a care package for the unit during the holidays and maybe an occasional letter. But honestly you are the most supportive group that I have ever heard of. I would really like to thank you for every thing you do for us. My fellow soldiers are always happy when they see me bring in a package and then they can’t wait to see what is inside. (I have had to rations things so I don’t run out all in one day). There are not enough words to show appreciative and happy we are to have you and your comrades supporting us. I thank you with all my heart and I will try to get a picture of my unit on your page as soon as possible.
I am sorry to hear about your father but now I know why you support us so well. Again thank you for every thing. And I hope to hear from you soon.

Sorry this has to be sent to everyone at one time. I wish I could write to each and every one of you separately, but time will not allow.
We just got word that the entire "public communication" system (phones & Internet) here on base is going to be shut down today sometime for reasons that should be clear. They have said "it may be down a while". When asked what is a "while", they said "plan on several weeks".
I am good and in great spirits. A little lighter on the scales, but doing good. I will take the advice of many and "keep my head down and my ARSS right behind it". I will contact everyone as soon as the "smoke" clears. Remember, at this point no news is good news.

Hey All
Sorry to make this a group email, but I'm coming off about 30 some odd hours of missions and going back out in 2. I was chosen to represent the soldiers from my battalion when Jim Talent, a Senator from Missouri, paid a visit to our camp two days ago. I was chosen because I'm a Missourian with outspoken views (according to my first sergeant who hand picked me) about the war and the conditions we're fighting in. It was my duty to present not only my views, but also those of the rest of my battalion to the Senator at dinner that night. They felt he would listen and be motivated to do something because I'm a constituent of his and that I voted for him. To read his weblog of his visit and views of us and what we had to say, you can visit his website at talent.senate.gov. and click on his weblog at the top righthand side of the page. He doesn't have any updated pictures posted yet, but I'm attaching a few that were taken. I was impressed with his genuine concern and attentive ear. I've already read what he has posted, and he mentions everything we said, including a few unnamed comments of mine.He said I would be a good candidate for the speaking engagements and talk show circuits he is proposing to get the public educated about what is really going on over here. We'll see. Anyway, he's just about the only politician I've ever met that I liked and feel really cares about his constituents and wants what is best for them. I have to run.
